Condé Nast readers’ choice awards 2022 is in its 35th annual edition, where Portugal appears in first place to travel in the list of countries chosen by readers. This classification demonstrates the quality of a country that until a few years ago only few people knew about. Portugal is a small country located in the extreme west of the European continent, with a friendly culture, a people of approximately 10 million inhabitants divided into a country with good road networks that cross from north to south in an extension of just over 580 km in line straight, and an average width of 200 km. Portugal is a country with a huge coastline, with a strip of more than 500 km of coastline exposed to the west and 150 km to the south, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. We also find the archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, places known for their green nature and nature tourism. Portugal attracts visitors from all over the world due to several factors, namely the mild climate throughout the year, cultural diversity, excellent cuisine with high quality natural products, a friendly people, religious and tolerant stability, real estate investment opportunities, and for so many other factors that we have yet to mention, however they are made explicit by the various awards that Portugal has constantly won over the last few years, awards given to the country, and to the various cities as distinguished as Lisbon, the capital bathed by the river Tagus known as the city of 7 hills, Porto a city bathed by the Douro river, with its extensions of vineyards, Coimbra, the city of university students, where the first universities of Portugal were born, Evora, with Roman temples and millenary historic sites, Faro, in the south of the country, with the fantastic ria fomosa, and a coast of paradisiacal beaches, Sagres, and Lagos, places where the discoveries came from the Portuguese, and so many other cities, towns and villages to discover... Portugal has daily direct flights to most world capitals from Lisbon, Porto and Faro airports
